Self-description: The David and Lucile Packard Foundation was created in 1964 by David Packard (1912-1996), co-founder of the Hewlett-Packard Company, and Lucile Salter Packard (1914-1987). Throughout their lives in business and philanthropy, the Packards sought to use private funds for the public good, giving back to a society which enabled them to prosper.

IN THEIR OWN WORDS
VIDEO OF FOUNDATION PRESIDENT CAROL LARSON
($570,710 salary)
46 MINUTES - IT'S LONG BUT YOU LEARN A LOT
ABOUT RICH PEOPLE RUNNING YOUR LIFE

The Packard Foundation's statement of values includes this pledge:

Respect for All People
The Board and staff, in all of their work on behalf of the Foundation, will show graciousness and respect to all people. The success of the Foundation depends on seeking out and listening to the ideas and advice of others

Actual: Destroying the livelihoods of thousands is not gracious. The Packard Foundation does not seem to consider fishermen, ranchers, oil and gas producers, loggers, miners and any other resource providers to be people. They fund far-left activists who devote millions in Packard grants to destroying the industries that serve the modern world. The Packard Foundation is the epitome of wealthy elites who believe they know how to direct your life better than you do.

This pretty picture shows a California coastline that Packard Foundation put off limits to fishing with huge grants to activist groups that lobby to declare vast areas of commercial fishery grounds off limits. Packard has given millions to projects of Jane Lubchenco, now head of NOAA, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, so she could manipulate media opinion against fishermen and the food they supply to a hungry world

IN THEIR OPPONENTS WORDS: CONGRESS WORRIES ABOUT
REGULATIONS THAT PACKARD-PAID ACTIVISTS LOBBY FOR
